I chose the number 6 and the Cause I received is: colon cancer awareness, which is cancer of the large intestine or rectum. A joke about it that I saw was humorous in the face of cancer was that "it's a big pain in the butt." The number one thing to do to reduce your risk it is to get screening done. It was recommended for people after 50 to get a colonoscopy.
If I win and am able to choose a charity I would give it to the support our troops cause. I have many soldier friends and want to support their sacrifice for our country. So we can be free!
My design is simple and straight forward. I incorporated the blue ribbon that is colon cancer's awareness ribbon in the top. The halter neck line and continued through to the bottom kinda flaring part of the top. I drew the top with a short silver skirt with a waistband. I like that it is a bit risque showing off some of the torso underneath the top like a bandeau top would but in a different way. I also used the ribbon on the shoes and the earrings to tie the accessories into the outfit.
I hope you learned something new about colon cancer and support fashion for a cause because there is no cure yet but support and awareness is a way to get closer to it.
